Right after I left the military in 1992 I purchased a male
German Shepherd puppy. He was so smart and easy to train that I took him
everywhere with me. My wife and I purchased a new male in the fall of
1997 to go along with the female we had purchased the previous summer.
Over the years we have expanded. Out-crossing and selectively producing
the stock that we would eventually keep. We now have some very large
working line Shepherds with excellent temperaments, drive, and intelligence.
Most importantly, these dogs are super loyal to their owners! This
year we plan to do some further companion dog training with our new imports
that have come all the way from Grinnell, Iowa. Although they are
completely different lines, we've selected them by keeping in mind the same
structure of the dogs that we have become famous for producing. By
implementing these shepherds into our original line, we expect our future generations of pups to
continue our vision of large working line Shepherds with very little angulation,
lots of bone, and excellent health.
Our Signature Line of Shepherds
Each female signifies the next generation of
our puppies Therefore to date, we have raised 6 healthy generations of our own
line of shepherds that meet our standard of reproducibility. Alsa was
the standard by which we've bred each generation, and we are proud to say that
we have improved over the years to reach a new benchmark in what we now refer
to as
"SilverMist Quality"

My wife, although she loves the big Shepherds, was
interested in exploring the smaller canine breeds streamlined for the
potential of pet and show. In 2003 she produced 3 Canadian Champion
American Cocker Spaniels. In 2004, she produced yet another.
Although she adored her spaniels, her true passion has always been
Pomeranians. She is now devoting all of her time and attention to these
delightful little dogs. They fall in line perfectly with the shepherds
because they are loyal and loving - and they think that they are 10 feet
tall (we don't have the heart to tell them they're tiny)! Terra's Poms
are great with children and other house pets, and are available in a variety of colors including cream, sable,
red, orange, chocolate,
black & tan and parti.
